The Festival of Colour returns to the shores of Lake Wanaka from 16-21 April 2013 with inspiring performances from local, national and international acts together with shows from some of New Zealand’s pre-eminent writers and artists.

This hugely popular celebration of the arts promises to once again be a sell out with a packed programme that ranges over theatre, dance, art, aspiring conversations, film and music of all genres – including a world premiere and a Pulitzer Prize winner. Throughout the Festival the theme of colour and environment prevails making the most of the surrounding vibrant autumnal colours and dramatic landscape of Lake Wanaka.

The touring programme takes the Festival throughout the Southern Lakes region with shows in Queenstown, Luggate, Hawea and Cromwell while the Schoolfest programme sees artists and performers visiting local primary, intermediate and secondary schools.

This cultural feast for the senses runs over six days and five nights (16-21 April 2013) and is a must for anyone wanting to enjoy the arts against the stunning alpine backdrop of Lake Wanaka in the autumn.
